Springtime Challenge and Swap with the Beauties

Hello all we would love to invite all our readers to join in our 2010 Springtime Challenge and Swap.


The holidays are past us and many of us are snowed in and others of us are having higher temps than normal for this time of year. We thought it would be the perfect time for us to launch our new Springtime Challenge and Swap.

Each person who signs up will create a Spring related Doll using the same pattern (it will be emailed to you in a PDF form). The pattern will be for the doll body parts only, you will create your doll and dress it anyway you want. That doll will be swapped with a surprise buddy.
What that means is you create your doll using the pattern your way and you will send it to one of the other beauties who signs up on the list. They will create their doll and send it to someone else (not you) but you will receive a doll in the swap from another beauty on the list.

Our Springtime Challenge and Swap sign up start today and sign up ends at midnight February 9, 2010.

You will receive your swap buddy, pattern and info provided from your buddy on February 10, 2010 at the email address you provide when you sign up.

Swaps will need to be mailed priority mail with delivery confirmation to be mailed no later than March 24. You can always mail it out early if you want. Please remember that it is important that each person who signs up for this Challenge and Swap follow through.

The Challenge and Swap is for a completed Springtime Doll. We think this will be a fun way for us to get to know each other and show off your creativity. For those who do not sew, we will be having an altered art Challenge and Swap next so get your thinking hats on.

Please remember to follow through if you sign up for this Challenge/Swap and before you mail your doll out snap a picture and send it to ab4bmodsquad@gmail.com. We will show off ALL the dolls here on our blog at the end of our Challenge.

A bit about Who Annie is........

Annie says she's been creating "something" most of my life. Being an only child living in the city I even had to create my playmates..dolls!! My heart has always been in the country and I am living that dream thru Hattie.
No Hattie, may look like worn and grumpy but she is the sweetest person I know. Her lines are from all the caring she has given to her family, friends, animals (especially cats) and the land she has worked and loved for 80 some years.

Nature inspires me... but my biggest inspiration was my Dad... who was always my biggest fan, And supporter in my Art. He was a very talented and successful Floral designer... Sadly he passed away four years ago.. but I know he is smiling down On me...enjoying my success.
